I should have taken a quick minute to tell you a little about myself, just in case you found this log by accident, and haven't read any of my others. My name is Amy. I'm a craft-a-holic!! That's right, I'm seriously obsessed with crafting, designing, and creating all kinds of things. I suppose you could call me a mixed media artist then hu? :) In any case I currently reside on a Navy base in Ventura county. Yep, guilty, I'm a military wife!! I wear the honor with the utmost of pride. I'm also mother to a rapidly growing and sometimes aggravating teenage son (Nathan), two rescue cats (Star and Shadow) and a mixed breed Labrador (Spike!). But I cannot forgot my sweet singing angel, my parakeet, sole survivor of 13 brothers and sisters that lived full and healthy lives right through a handful of military moves. So that's my posse! I love gardening, the beautiful beach, the glorious mountains that loom over me in our backyard, and sunshine! But I also love reading, writing, drawing, cooking, cleaning, and making people feel better. which brings me to my studies. I am currently a student at the American College of Health care Sciences (ACHS), and Kaplan University. At ACHS, I am aggressively pursuing a career in Holistic medicine and nutrition, and since i live in the Health Freedom state of California, fits perfectly. Kaplan University is where I am in my third term of many terms to still come, pursuing a Bachelors Science Health and Wellness degree. Two totally opposite sides of the health and nutrition fields.
My style would be deemed gothic, steampunkish, dark. I love all kinds of music, have reddish hair and green eyes. I've been through a lot over the years, and what i create, what i written whatever new project I have decided to drown myself in, it comes with the same passion and love as everything else I create. I have been lost for a few years now. I haven't really made anything in new in a while. But I have since decided to change that, and hopefully once i get going I will be able to find myself again. It would be amazing to combine my holistic health and nutrition career with my artistic creations and obsession, and really make a difference in the lives of those who need it the most. Sometimes, even in your darkest moments, it just takes something small to ignite the faith and strength one needs to get up and fight...if I can one day soon be part of that, really make a difference to someone, man what a happy earth loving soul I would be. Well thats all for now about me, off to do some studying. I promise in the next few days to fill this blog with crafting goodness that will put you on inspiration overload! Blessings and best wishes, Amy
